My Secret System for Creating Facebook Ads [Video]

I promised awhile ago in my posts and newsletters that I have a system for creating Facebook ads. I have been tweaking this method over the course of the last 9-12 months and have gotten pretty fast at it when I have to be.

Even if you have a Facebook ad uploader, this may still be useful for you. With tools, sometimes you get errors and it’s frustrating to come back to your computer thinking 50 ads were created only to see an error message on the first ad.

Check out the video below to see my exact system.

How To Create Facebook Ads Quickly and Efficiently

Additional Insight and Tips

  • Another way to name your ads, especially if you are testing multiple demographics, would be something like: PA-M-18-21-1 [Offer-Gender-Age-Range-Number]
  • Test larger batches by just making more copies of the ad (instead of 4)
  • Create the ads you know will be duplicated before starting the process, then simply copy everything as shown in the video. For instance, since I knew ad 01 and 06 were going to be the ‘originals’, I could have gone and created those two ads (01 with the first ad copy and 06 with the second, both using image #1) and then went through the duplication steps I showed you. Makes it easy especially if you are testing batches larger than 10 ads so you do not get mixed up and create EXACT copies of test ads.

Again, I hope this helps you create ads more efficiently, whether or not you do this process manually.

If you have any questions about my method, please leave me a comment!

Have a great weekend.

Great tip on the tabs. I’ve always used the similar ad feature when I’ve got a lot of demographic variables (like interests etc) but I never thought to open up more than one tab.

Exactly. I used to just go through one-by-one and do it, easy enough, but I figured if I can pop out 5-10 ads almost instantly, it’s that much better. On top of that, you could macro the numbering/submitting part of it as well, but that is a little more difficult to set up and make sure it works.

Thanks for the comment, I’m glad it will help!

Awesome stuff Jeremy, this will be useful for a lot of people since the FB Ads Manager has started becoming real buggy and creates more problems than solves them.

Props for the great content :)

Exactly. I’m actually having some issues with it as well, plus I promised this to my readers so I did not want to break that!

I’m glad you like it, I hope it can help you.

Funny I’ve been doing something similar on PoF but not done it so much on FB because I have FBAM.

And I’ve been letting my FB account idle its time away because of the bugs FBAM has.

Your video has sparked my fire for FB again, so thanks a ton Jeremy.

Kang, if you like the FBAM, why don’t you use the POF tool also?

Good to hear you got that spark back!

Vinay, that’s exactly what I said too when I first started doing it. Thanks for your comment.

Anyways great tip, Jeremy. I’m about to create 1000 ads manually so this would technique be handy…

You should be able to make those 1000 relatively quickly. Good luck!

Jeremy,
Awesome post, this video was very helpful. I’m always looking for ways to be more efficient and really like the tabs trick. I’m a Google, Yahoo, MSN pro but newer to FB. It’s posts like this that are very helpful in staying on top of new opportunities!
Best,
Ian

Glad to be of assistance Ian! I’d suggest the FB Uploader for even more efficiency, but it doesn’t work that well haha.

Jeremy just found your blog from the Jonathan Volk interview, and I think its great stuff. I’m just now finding my way into this business, was wondering if you had any suggestions for a good converting wordpress landing page? or other source.

I don’t use WordPress for landing pages, they are custom built.

Any tips for something similar with POF? Such as what kang stated a month ago?

Reply

Jeremy October 18, 2010 at 6:28 am

I just use the POF uploader tool from MrGreen – it’s not too expensive and does the job incredibly well.
